WHAT IS A LIFE GROUP?
Life Groups are comprised of 8 to 15 people who have completed Rooted. They meet in homes throughout the South Bay. Based on a model similar to Rooted, they are designed to build deeper trust and accountability among group members through regular prayer, service and evangelism projects, as well as deeper theological discussion. WHERE CAN I FIND THE CURRICULUM FOR THE LIFE GROUPS?
Life Groups are strongly encouraged to use the sermon-based material which unpacks the weekend message in greater theological depth and with a high level of application. Many have told us how this material has impacted their life in a positive way! You can download the weekly lessons by clicking on Life Group Homework (see right column) or picking up a printed version in the Welcome Center.
WHEN, WHERE AND HOW LONG DO GROUPS MEET?
Groups meet for a 10 week period and each meeting is about 2 hours in length.
HOW ARE LIFE GROUP LEADERS SELECTED?
Life Group leaders are selected by the pastoral staff. Candidates are usually chosen from those who have attended our leadership training sessions which are offered quarterly.
IS CHILDCARE OFFERED?
Sorry, but since Life Groups meet in homes they must provide their own childcare. Many groups simply have one of the group members take a turn watching the kids in another room.
