Senior Pastor’s Welcome Print E-mail
Byron MacDonaldWelcome to the Rolling Hills Covenant Church website. As you explore this site you will find that our church is about what is most important to God, and that is people and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We are an active church with many and varied worship services, ministries, and opportunities to learn, give, grow, and serve. But through all this activity we try and keep it simple. It's about our love for the Lord Jesus Christ and sharing His love and truth with others, people like you. We put our purpose as a church this way, "To know Jesus intimately, and to share His love and truth passionately."

In our pursuit of knowing Jesus we believe the Bible is the revelation of God’s truth to us. Jesus, the living Word, and the Bible, the written Word are the foundations for all our ministry and our lives. When we gather, whether in large group worship and celebration, or in small groups, the study and applying of the transforming and practical truths of God’s Word is core to our time and purpose.

We also believe the church that Jesus builds is full of love. We are excited by the fact that where we are in the South Bay of Los Angeles has one of the most ethnically diverse population of anywhere in our country. We think the diversity of the peoples of a community ought to be reflected in the church that Jesus builds. It encourages us that Rolling Hills Covenant Church is home to a people as diverse as our community. We also seek to take that love in practical acts of kindness and compassion into our communities, especially to those in need. We want to be known by our love.

From the beginning of our church’s 50 year history, taking the love and truth of Jesus to the nations has been a feature of our church. We support over 60 missionaries around the world, nearly half of whom have been called to missions from our own church family. We also are incredibly active in sending out short-term mission teams each year.

I trust and pray you will enjoy our site, sample our teaching, and get to know our church and ministries. But what I would really love is for you to come, be our guest, and experience our church firsthand. I would love to meet you when you do. Until then may God bless you richly in Christ Jesus.

Warmly in Jesus' love,

Byron MacDonald, Senior Pastor
